The HAF 932 and Corsair PSU are now a match made in heaven. I have been using this power supply for just over 30 days with no problems. It also runs much quieter than my ailing Antec 550 Watt that was replaced by the Corsair, I highly recommend this power supply. The Corsair has more than enough various connectors to satisfy any build unless you plan to install more than two video cards. The long connector cords make this an ideal power supply for full tower cases. I originally installed this into a mid size tower and found the long cords made for a messy looking install and blocked the airflow in that case which was a 10 year old Antec This gave me an excuse to buy the Cooler Master HAF 932 case that I was drooling over.
Corsair sent me a brand new one, picked up the tab for shipping it down to me and simply askthat in the future when looking for another PSU or memoryplease take a moment to look at their products. Much to my surprise, Corsair contacted meand told me though I did mess it up and admitted to it, theyfelt that if I was going to use their product, just this once, they would take care of me.In 5 days, I had a spanking new 550 VX PSU sitting on my porchwhen I got home from work. I did so.
It has proven to be a great PSU for my needs. Here's one thing about Corsair's customer service. Noway, no how. Though I didn't buy this unit through Amazon, I did buy it1 1/2 years ago.
I contacted Corsair's CS and explained what I did.Instead of telling me "so sorry, you'll have to buy another sinceyou messed it up" they told me to ship it up to them and they'dtake a look. That wasit. Now honestly how can one beat customer service like this. That's why when it comes to certain hardware, Corsair is my first choice to look into when shopping. The first dayI got the unit, I messed up the cables.bad.
There was no waythat the site I bought it from was going to take it back.
I only wish it were modular in design so I wouldn't have a bundle of wires I didn't use but had to wrap up and stuff in the corner and that is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. The 140mm fan is extremely quiet which was one of my biggest concerns when buying a new power supply. I bought this power supply for a new build computer based on Corsair's reputation for making fine computer products and I am very satisfied with its performance. It comes with more than enough connectors for any computer you might build and the cables are long enough to reach any corner of my very large, full tower, Coolermaster case.
In my existing PC case, I had to mount the power supply unit upside down (fan is facing to the ceiling of case). This is a great PSU and has plenty of connectors to build a PC with many options or for someone who would like to expand PC later time without buying a new PSU. Customer support is great. Very well made. As per customer support, placing power supply upside down is not a big deal as long as there is at least gap of 0.5" between case ceiling and Power supply fan. All of your drives, fans, video cards and so on need a very good power supply. Stable power supply helps stability of a PC. I built my PC with Intel I7 using this power supply.
If you are looking for power supplies for your new computer, look no further. Corsair is a very well known power supply company and I trust this power supply to last me 5+ years. The only thing it might be a con to some people is that the fan is on the bottom of the power supply whereas a lot of power supplies have fans in the back. I bought 650w power supply one and it's great in that it's efficient(it uses less power than 350w power supply I had even though I'm now using a graphic card that uses more power), comes with lots of cables, and it's not loud at all. If you are a gamer, I'd recommend getting 650w one over 550w because in the future, you might need the extra power and for 6 dollar more it's worth it.
